SUMMARY The Athletics Department at Spring Arbor University, a member of the NAIA and the Crossroads League, invites nominations or application materials for the part-time position of Esports Head Coach. Reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, this position is responsible for the recruiting and management of a collegiate level Esports team. Spring Arbor University Athletics is committed to the Spring Arbor University Concept which centers Jesus Christ as the perspective for learning and community on campus. The successful candidate will possess the ability to recruit, train, and facilitate the Esports program from this same perspective.
Part-time position
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by proper personnel.
Ability to design and implement daily practices and effective recruitment strategies
Professional communication with staff and student athletes
Ability to manage tech and, in consultation with University technology structures, troubleshoot basic tech issues
Ability to manage and reconcile an annual operating budget
Ability to fundraise effectively for special events or trips
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
The Esports head coach will report to the Intercollegiate Athletic Director

Equipped to challenge, and encourage athletes to achieve greatness in the classroom, and in sport
Capable of understanding and validating the diversity of backgrounds athletes come from, while encouraging spiritual, social, and emotional growth in the Esports program
