Spring Arbor University is seeking an individual with graduate credentials and teaching experience to replace a retired faculty member in the Computer Science Department and assist in the development of new programs in CS.
POSITION DESCRIPTION The School of Engineering at Spring Arbor University (SAU) invites applicants for a tenure-track position in the field of Computer Science with potential appointment as the Department Chair of Computer Science. SAU offers BS degrees in Computer Information Science and Cybersecurity. Teaching duties include pathway CS courses, service coding courses, and upper division CS courses, supporting majors in Mathematics, Engineering, Nursing, and Computer Science. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level, development of scholarly endeavors, innovative curriculum development, advising students, and serving on university committees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. An earned Ph.D. is preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered. Professional experience in the form of a successful record of teaching and mentoring undergraduate students is expected. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about academic excellence and about preparing students to impact the world for Jesus Christ within the field of mathematics.
Spring Arbor University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is located on a beautiful campus in south central Michigan.
