Position Summary
The Athletics Department at Spring Arbor University, a member of the NAIA and the Crossroads League, invites applications for the part-time (10-month) position of Assistant Track & Field Coach – Jumps. Reporting to the Head Track & Field Coach, this position supports all aspects of the jumps program, including student-athlete development, training implementation, recruiting support, and program operations.

The Athletics Department at Spring Arbor University, a member of the NAIA and the Crossroads League, invites applications for the part-time (10-month) position of Assistant Track & Field Coach – Jumps. Reporting to the Head Track & Field Coach, this position supports all aspects of the jumps program, including student-athlete development, training implementation, recruiting support, and program operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with coaching and instruction for jumping events within the Track & Field program
- Support the design and implementation of training plans and practice sessions
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes academically, athletically, socially, and personally
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaching staff, and university personnel
- Assist with recruiting efforts and program promotion, as assigned
- Support team travel, meet operations, and other administrative responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience in track & field, preferably in jumps events
- Knowledge of training principles and athlete development
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and support college student-athletes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Ability to motivate, teach, and encourage student-athletes in both athletics and academics
