Position Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist position serves as an administrator and key contributor for several critical OPC functions, including employment records management, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee engagement, leave of absence and attendance tracking, payroll, and employee records. Maintain compliance and knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, benefits administration, and employment law. Provide oversight of OPC databases, software, and computer systems used to manage employment records and all OPC functions. Facilitate and communicate organizational policies and programs and ensure labor law and regulatory compliance. Collect and analyze data for meaningful insights to improve systems and processes. OPC adopts a people-centered, customer-centric approach to service delivery, which involves collaboration and shared governance in the design and implementation of OPC programs, services, and communications.Essential Job Functions:HR Data Compliance Conduct regular data integrity audits to ensure accuracy of employment data and the efficient recording and secure storage of data.Conduct data analysis and reporting for the OPC team and key stakeholders – report generation and analysis includes data pertaining to applicants, candidates, retention, and university demographicsTalent AcquisitionManage student employment process, which includes department communication and Colleague system data entry.Engage in job postings, interview scheduling, and the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, to include collaboration with department managers, background checks, and employment eligibility verification.Compensation and BenefitsEngage in administration and execution of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, wellness, leaves of absence; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Assists with key benefits administration responsibilities to include invoicing, vendor interface, new hire counseling, and planning/implementation of employee-centered events.General OPC SupportMaintains compliance and knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, benefits administration, and employment law.Assist with the evaluation, selection, and oversight of vendors that provide supplemental support to general OPC functions.Perform other duties as assigned.Work Hours:Expected equivalent of 40 hours per week, but days/hours in the office may vary in accordance with needs of the position.

Education:
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience:
1-2 years of human resource management experience required. 2-3 years of human resource management preferred.
Skills:
Applicant tracking system experience/familiarity.
Familiarity with compensation and benefits administration processes and/or principles.
Familiarity with software applications for benefits administration and employee records management.
Solid understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems.
Sound judgment, quick learner, and great prioritization skills.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Ability to accept divergent views while maintaining a constructive working relationship with other team members and university colleagues.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work with a computer for long periods of the day.
Ability to attend off campus meetings.
