Glen View Club located in Golf, Illinois is seeking a qualified, highly motivated, team-oriented individual to join our staff as an Assistant Superintendent. We are passionate about developing our team members for future advancement in the turf industry.

Continued support of club membership and leadership toward course improvements and the desire to elevate the golf course annually through a Jim Urbina Master Plan to begin in 2024. In addition, Glen View has raised over $4.4M in scholarships for existing staff members since 1997.
Recently installed irrigation system with new pumphouse. Numerous in-house course improvement projects are in the shoulder seasons.
Future Projects:
Continued implementation of the 1922 William Flynn proposed improvements plan.
Rebuilding all bunkers to match the scale of the property recently revealed through an extensive tree management program.

Initial Priorities of the Position:
Develop relationships and build good rapport with the existing Turf Team.
Actively participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of daily tasks, while identifying areas of improvement.
Train and instruct equipment operators in the safe, efficient operation and care of all equipment and golf course management techniques.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $45,000 to $65,000

Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in golf course, turf related business
2/4-year degree/certificate in agronomy horticulture/plant/soil sciences is preferred but not required.
Ability to obtain an Illinois State license within 30-days
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
