We are seeking a Compensation Specialist to join our team. In this important role you will analyze, recommend, implement, communicate and administer competitive, efficient, and internally equitable compensation programs across North America. This opportunity is ideal for compensation professionals with experience transforming compensation and benefits programs.
Conduct data, cost analyses and provides recommendations for market pricings requests on new positions, promotions, transfers and other job or organizational changes
Provide consultation for HR, supervisors, specialists, and employees on Company compensation programs
Ensure titling, job structures, codes, etc. are in compliance with policy and directives and properly maintained in system
Create and revise models for management regarding potential compensation plan changes. Research, recommend and implement new strategies and processes
Lead annual wage increase and bonus payout cycles
Support long-term incentive plan administration and reporting
Ensure regulatory compliance of all compensation programs; conducts periodic audits to identify any potential problems or non-compliance issues
Identify and participate in appropriate external compensation surveys
Develop, analyze, and prepare recurring HR metric reports as well as ad-hoc statistical reports
Work closely with Finance to prepare monthly incentive plan information to inform accruals
Requirements
BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Economics or related field
7 plus years of experience in compensation program design and administration, or commensurate experience
Experience in project management and large-scale HR transformational projects (i.e. global job leveling)
Compensation, HR or other Financial certifications a plus
Experience reporting from payroll and HRIS systems, preferably Workday
Ability to work with all levels of management and the workforce as well as team members is essential
Must be able to function independently, work with some ambiguity, demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, business decision-making skills, execute on projects/tasks/deadlines, and manage across various groups
Able to quickly prioritize competing deliverables
Must have strong attention to detail, problem solving and trouble shooting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer-centric approach
High proficiency in Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint with ability to create reports; Visio a plus
Knowledge of Canadian compensation/benefits and data sources is a plus
