Our Compensation Team is a close-knit team of expert passionate consultants. You’ll work on a myriad of compensation projects and provide direct consultation to Michigan Medicine departments and Human Resource Business Partners. Our Compensation Consultants also work under a high level of autonomy with three remote work days each week.

You will provide specialized, consultative analytical support in the planning, defining and validating of Total Rewards compensation programs, including strategy, philosophy and policy development; assists in the design, development, review and modification of program plans, policies and procedures.
You will examine internal compensation practices, internal equity, and employee pay programs in comparison to market data and external trends/pay practices. Via in-depth analysis, you’ll explore opportunities for compensation program enhancements that are competitive and cost-efficient for implementation.
You’ll be involved in the preparation of analytical summaries, presentations and other materials to communicate compensation research findings, existing and new programs recommendations, training initiatives, and project deliverables.
You’ll develop and disseminate related communication materials; conduct compliance audits; perform evaluative analysis of programs and their impacts.
You will assist in the successful integration of compensation practices and policies on mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
You may serve as a subject matter consultant and mentor to other compensation staff, management, and other human resources staff on compensation program evaluation, design, and development, as well as communication, as well as compliance and education.
8+ years prior compensation experience including progressively more complex compensation assignments.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Proficient use of HRIS systems (PeopleSoft) and compensation related web applications.
4+ years prior compensation experience including intermediate to complex compensation assignments.
Proficient Microsoft office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Executive compensation in the healthcare industry
Incentive program development
Knowledge of the healthcare industry and competitive market
Working knowledge of MarketPay or a similar product
This position may be underfilled at Compensation Consultant Senior depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
